Physician Bios

Lorraine French, M.D.

Dr. Lorrie French joined the staff of the Tri-Area Community Health Center at Floyd in 2008 after previously practicing in Copper Hill, VA and in Jacksonville, FL. A graduate of Florida State University and the University of Florida Medical School, she completed her residency at West Virginia University in Charleston, WV. She is a past president of the medical staff of Riverside Hospital and a staff member of St. Vincent’s Medical Center, both in Jacksonville, FL where she was named one of the top 100 doctors in Jacksonville in 2000. Local affiliations include Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem, VA and the Good Samaritan Hospice in Roanoke serving on the Quality Assurance Committee. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is past president of the Southeastern Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. Her family resides in Check, VA. She enjoys reading, gardening, and acoustic guitar.

 
 
 
 
 
Sam Saadat, MD

Dr. Sam Saadat joined the staff of Tri-Area Community Health Center at Floyd in 2010.  Previously he worked as a staff physician for Centra Health Organization, Lewis Gale Clinic, and as a private practitioner at Smith Mountain Lake.  He is board certified by American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and also a Diplomate of American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP).  He completed his residency and achieved the Residence of the Year Award upon graduation from West Virginia University Department of Family Medicine in Morgantown.  Dr. Saadat resides in Roanoke, Virginia and enjoys table tennis, volleyball and hiking.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Elizabeth A. Hubbard, CFNP

Beth Hubbard, certified family nurse practitioner, has practiced at all three of the Tri-Area Community Health Centers. She joined the Floyd location in April 2008, the Ferrum location in July 2008, and previously worked at the Laurel Fork location. A native of Alexandria, VA she current lives in Radford, VA with her husband and two children. She received a Bachelor of Nursing and Masters of Nursing degrees from Radford University and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
